Drag yourself to see this May 31, 2009

This Thursday I had a chance to go see Sam Raimi’s new horror “Drag Me to Hell” and it was one of the scariest and equally hilarious films I’ve seen in a long time. What initially seems like it could be a terrible generic horror film is anything but and is getting ridiculously good reviews.

Raimi is the brains behind both the “Evil Dead” series and the “Spider-Man” films, but this is a lot closer to “Evil Dead” than “Spider-Man”. Anyone who liked “Evil Dead” will LOVE “Drag Me to Hell”.

Where other horror films would stop, Drag Me to Hell keeps going. From an out-of-control spraying nosebleed to an old woman vomiting maggots in a girl’s face to a cat sacrifice there’s something for eh…everyone here. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Just wait for the talking goat.

Seriously, go see it. The trailer, below, doesn’t even do the film justice. And yeah, that’s McKenna from “Tucker“.
