I’m permanently black and blue June 8, 2009

Why are bands waiting so long to release official videos for their singles? First there was MGMT with their “Kids” video, a full year after the single gained massive popularity. Then there’s “Bruises” by Chairlift which, while not as successful as “Kids”, achieved some amount of fame after it was featured in an iPod nano ad. The song, if you haven’t heard it yet, is predictably great, like most songs featured in iPod ads.

The video’s a weird one, and not at all really what I expected from the song. It looks like they’re standing in the “Big Brother” control room or something, and the whole hand on guy’s face in the TV screen is a bit “Armageddon”. All in all though, it’s a good video. Watch it.
